The summer holidays are on their way. A wonderful chance for us all to get stuck into a book for that bit longer each day. So, if you are looking for ideas for your children, I’ve put together my 7 and 8 year old children’s favourites from over the last year. A wonderful feast from both classic and contemporary authors and illustrators. Some lighter reads. Some denser ones. Some are sad, some are hilarious. Many are part of a series or written by a prolific author so there’s more treasure behind lots of these books below if your child particularly enjoys one.
